Overview

Senior Operations Transformation Analyst (16367)


As part of the Operations Transformation team, the Senior Operations Transformation Analyst is responsible for creating data driven and evidenced improvements in our operating model. Using internal operational, commercial, finance and people data as well as drawing on industry knowledge, insight and best practice the role will define clear recommendations for step changes in the operating model. The objective is to maximise profitability and support easyJet's strategic objectives by understanding how our contracts and crew model needs to consciously evolve in line with the evolution of our business and network. The position collaborates closely with a range of departments across the airline including operations, commercial, the people team and finance. The role reports to the Head of Operations Transformation and requires strong analytical skills and working operational / commercial knowledge.


Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will analyse data across operational, finance, commercial and people functions to identify and evidence insights that remove friction points, drive improvements and efficiency gains.

  • You will use these insights to validate how improvements can be delivered sustainably, ensuring that any opportunities identified remain future proof as the commercial schedule evolves.

  • Apply operational and commercial knowledge to understand how proposed changes would play out in a live environment.

  • Form clear, rational hypotheses using varied sources of information, even when data is conflicting, and benchmark company performance against industry standards to highlight opportunities for enhancement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure recommendations are practical, achievable, and aligned with the wider business strategy.

  • Keep abreast of industry trends and technological developments to continually identify opportunities for PBT positive innovation within the operating model.

  • Work independently, managing multiple concurrent projects with accountability, while delivering accurate and meaningful findings.

  • Engage in cross-functional development with IT, Data Science, Commercial, Operations and Finance, and participate in medium-scale projects across the business.


Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to collect, organise, and interpret complex data to produce accurate and detailed insights.

  • Experience in using data to drive commercial decisions and working within cross-functional teams and projects.

  • Strong communication skills; able to explain analyses clearly in a credible and confident way.

  • Comfortable balancing business needs with analytical delivery in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to work independently, self-organise, plan work effectively, and collaborate with the team.

  • A high tolerance for ambiguity and change as the business evolves.

  • Experience or interest in generative AI and commercial data analytics is highly desirable; expertise in using data to draw informed insights.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal skills, and a decisive, analytical mindset with close attention to detail.

  • Time management, prioritisation and adaptability to deliver high-quality outcomes in a complex and evolving operating environment.

Location, Hours of Work

This is a full time role, working 40 hours per week, based in London Luton. We support hybrid working and spend three days per week in the office.
