Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust's Complex Health Division is excited to welcome a Band 7 Independent Non-Medical Prescriber to join our dedicated and compassionate ADHD Specialist Nurse Team.

Main duties of the job

As a Non-Medical Prescriber, implement evidence-based treatment plans, ensuring safety and adherence to NICE guidelines.

You will

  • Assess, Diagnose, and Treat ADHD carrying out initial assessments, titration of medication, monitoring and reviewing treatment plans for children and young people
  • Be part of a multi-skilled team and work collaboratively with other professionals and disciplines as part of the Neurodevelopmental team and transformation.
  • Need to maintain accurate records, with strong IT skills.
  • Uphold professional standards, and contribute to continuous learning, support and supervision.
  • Carry out medication clinical appointments.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and ability to work independently.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • RN/RNM
  • 6 months or more experience within NMP role
Skills
  • Assess, initiate and evaluate treatment plans and responses to treatment
  • Experience of assessing and prescribing treatments and share prescribing information
  • Maintaining proffessional standards
  • Excellent and effective communication and written skills
  • Knowledge of trusts non medical policies
Experience
  • Experience of working with children with ADHD/ASD
  • Organisational skill
  • Being able to work alone as well as part of the MDT
  • Being flexible and reliable
  • Previous experience in working with Children
  • Carrying out research and audits
