Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers for both drop shipping and stock purchases.
  • Negotiate favourable terms, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Work with suppliers on their stock positions to keep our best sellers in stock for us and to negotiate on slow moving lines.
  • Support Inventory Planning and Management
  • Own the departmental budget by setting and monitoring sales, margin, and profit targets.
  • Track and analyse sales and inventory metrics to identify top-performing products and opportunities for improvement.
  • Report on and analyse weekly sales reports, reporting back to the business on trends, key lines and stock movement to inform the marketing strategy.
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising plans, including product range selection, pricing, and promotions to meet commercial goals.
  • Research market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to curate a competitive and appealing product assortment.
  • Evaluate the profitability and demand potential of products to align with business goals.
  • Regularly update the product portfolio to reflect seasonal trends and customer demand.
  • Analyse cost structures to maintain competitive pricing while maximizing profit margins.
  • Conduct regular market analyses to adjust product pricing in response to competition and trends.
