We are seeking a Senior Medical Planner to support our growing Health practice and continue providing our clients and communities with innovative design solutions that improve health and human conditions.

For over 50 years, HDR has delivered award-winning healthcare planning and design for leading medical centers and health systems worldwide. Our global healthcare practice uses evidence-based design methodologies to fully integrate clinical, operational, and facility planning to support strategic objectives. HDR is ranked the Healthcare Design firm, known for advanced planning, programming, and design expertise that deliver 21st-century healthcare solutions. Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide planning, design, and coordination support on projects and pursuits.
  • Engage in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and visualization to create detailed drawings.
  • Prepare drawings and specification documents.
  • Research, plan, design, and administer building projects, applying knowledge of construction procedures, codes, and materials.
  • Understand healthcare trends.
  • Prepare health planning presentation drawings, diagrams, and narratives.
  • Coordinate all disciplines related to building design and health planning.
  • Mentor junior staff or colleagues in health planning practices.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in Health Planning.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Preference for local candidates.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
  • At least 12 years of related experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools.
  • Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles for technical plans and models.
  • Active participation in our employee-owned culture is essential.
