Reporting directly to the Plant Manager or Operations Director, this role will take full ownership of maintenance operations across the site - leading a team of maintenance technicians, driving equipment reliability, and ensuring uninterrupted production in a highly regulated environment.

The successful candidate will be a hands on maintenance leader with a proven track record in managing day to day maintenance operations, developing robust preventive and predictive maintenance programmes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive maintenance strategy for equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to optimise asset reliability and performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks based on skills and experience and conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with EHS regulations, company policies, OSHA standards, and relevant medical device industry legislation.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory and supplier/vendor relationships to ensure parts availability and minimise downtime.
  • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, tracking costs and identifying opportunities for reduction without compromising quality or safety.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure analysis to improve equipment performance and maintenance processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs, inspections, and downtime for compliance audits.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with maintenance operations.
  • Provide regular reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and project progress to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role within an industrial or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience leading and developing a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficient in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Experience with CMMS software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, or similar).
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements within a medical device or similarly regulated environment.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical thinking, and decision making capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
  • Certification in maintenance management (e.g., CMRP, CRL) is a plus.
