Senior Lawyer - Adults (12 months fixed term)Are you an experienced Adult Lawyer with local government experience and looking for variety and challenge? We are seeking a Senior Adult Lawyer to join our busy Adults, Education and Employment team. You will provide legal advice, support and representation on a varied caseload and work with elected members, senior managers, staff and external clients.
Responsibilities- Run an extensive caseload of complex legal work in adult safeguarding, covering the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Health Act 1983.
- Provide high level legal services to elected members, senior managers, staff and external clients.
- Represent the council's Directorate in legal matters.
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience of all aspects of the law relating to safeguarding adults, including the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Health Act 1983.
