You MUST have the following:
- Strong experience as a Senior Java Developer/Software Engineer/Programmer
- Java - Multithreading, Real Time or distributed compute
- Excellent stakeholder interaction skills
- Agile
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
- Trade risk/pricing
- Good understanding of Fixed Income, equities or commodities
- Python
- Agentic AI
- Claude Clode, ChatGPT, CoPilot
Role: Senior Java Software Engineer (Software Engineer Programmer Developer Java Lead Senior Trade Risk Python AI AgenticAI Claude ChatGPT CoPilot Fixed Income Credit Rates Bonds Agile Buy Side Asset Manager Investment Management Finance Front Office Trading Financial Services Banking Equities Commodities Derivatives Hedge Fund) required by our financial client in Dublin. You will be part of a small office in a role as the dedicated developer/software engineer for the traders. You will be part of a global team of 15 and split your time 50/50 between global projects and the needs of the Dublin office. The Dublin office is eager to build it's risk analytics products. This encompasses all Fixed Income products including derivatives. These systems are built in Java with some Python. You will have good Java experience that encompasses working with complex systems ideally including Multithreading, Real Time and distributed compute. Python is not essential, only desirable, as they have rapidly adopted AI and you will be able to use Claude Code instead.
The company has adopted ChatGPT, MS CoPilot and GitHub CoPilot and ClaudeCode. There are no limitations on the use of tokens.
It's officially 4 days/week in the office although there is some flexibility on this.
Knowledge of Fixed Income would be valuable but is not essential. The company also invests in commodities and equities.
Salary: €70k - €100k + 50% bonus + Pension
