Senior Java Developer

The Position

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Java Developer to join our team and contribute to ongoing client projects in Capelle. As a Senior Java Developer at ALTEN Netherlands, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing complex software systems. Your work will involve building scalable applications, improving performance, and ensuring high-quality solutions for a wide range of projects across diverse industries. You will be responsible for addressing technical challenges and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the success of our clients' software solutions.

Your main tasks will include:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based applications and systems to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define requirements, design solutions, and troubleshoot issues.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to industry best practices.
• Optimize system performance to meet evolving customer needs and ensure high standards of reliability.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to the growth of the development team.
• Document code and processes to maintain a smooth development workflow and knowledge sharing.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Java developer.
• Strong expertise in Java frameworks, such as Spring and Hibernate.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.
• A collaborative mindset, comfortable working in teams and mentoring junior developers.
• Proficiency in English or Dutch is required.
