Instrumentation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Engineer with expertise in greenfield Automation and Telecommunication detailed engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation system design, specification preparation, and factory acceptance testing (FAT) for SCADA/DCS, telecommunication, and Fire & Gas detection systems. The role requires proficiency in Smart Plant Instrumentation and a strong understanding of engineering deliverables.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review specifications, technical bid evaluations (TBE), and conduct FAT for SCADA/DCS systems.
  • Oversee specifications and FAT for telecommunication systems (CCTV, PAGA, radio systems, LAN, WiFi, etc.).
  • Develop detailed instrumentation design deliverables, including:
  • Cable lists
  • Instrument/telecom/fire detection block diagrams and layouts
  • Termination diagrams
  • Installation typical hookups and mounting typicals
  • Loop diagrams
  • Prepare key engineering deliverables such as:
  • Cause and effect diagrams
  • Control narratives
  • Network architecture diagrams
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Essential Requirements (Must-Have):

    • BSc or MSc in Engineering.
    • 5+ years' experience working in an engineering company.
    • 4+ years' experience in a similar role.
    • Strong background in greenfield Automation and Telecommunication detailed engineering.
    • Proficiency in Smart Plant Instrumentation.
    • Experience in detailed instrumentation design and documentation.


    Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):

    • Experience with HV substation design.
    • Familiarity with offshore platform design.
    • Knowledge of E3D modeling.
