The opportunity:This is a high-impact role with a global FMCG and healthcare leader, where you'll partner directly with senior scientific and corporate leaders to deliver the people strategy across R&D Enabling Capabilities & Medical. You'll support a client group of around 400, including the Chief Medical Officer and VP Global R&D Enabling Capabilities, influencing how innovation and medical excellence come to life through people.
It's a unique chance to combine strategic HR partnership with hands-on employee relations leadership - driving culture, engagement and capability in one of the business's most critical global functions.
- Partner senior R&D and Medical leadership to align people plans with business and innovation priorities.
- Lead on complex ER and union relations for the Hull site, bringing strong judgement and collaboration to consultations and negotiations.
- Shape and deliver organisational effectiveness, talent, and workforce planning strategies.
- Champion culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion across a global and multi-disciplinary workforce.
- Partner with global HR Centres of Excellence to ensure a seamless employee experience and operational excellence.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, driving change and developing leadership capability across R&D.
- Proven experience as a Senior HR Business Partner within a complex, matrix, global organisation - ideally FMCG, Pharma, or R&D-led.
- Demonstrated expertise in trade union relations and complex employee relations casework.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to link people strategy to commercial outcomes.
- Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills at Director and SLT level.
- Experience driving organisational change, culture development, and talent strategy.
- Resilient, pragmatic, and confident operating autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
