We are seeking to appoint a Senior Group Risk Manager to lead our enterprise-wide risk approach and embed a culture of proactive, insight-driven decision-making. This is a high-impact role where you'll shape the future of risk management across the organisation, working closely with the Executive, Board, and key stakeholders. You'll lead a community of risk professionals and champions, ensuring our risk frameworks are robust, future-ready, and aligned with regulatory expectations. Own and lead the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process, embedding it into governance forums including Audit, Risk, and Disclosure Committees, Executive and Main Board Oversee monitoring and action planning for Principal and Top Tier Risks, ensuring they are well understood and addressed Ensure our risk approach is consistent and fit for purpose across multiple reporting requirements (e.g. Annual Report, TCFD, TNFD) Collaborate with Executive Directors to integrate risk-based thinking into decision-making frameworks Lead the evolution of our risk framework, including appetite, materiality, and double-materiality assessments Drive scenario identification, modelling, and resilience testing across the risk suite Refresh and renovate our systems architecture to support effective risk reporting Build and nurture a strong internal risk community, working closely with Audit, Assurance, and Sustainability teams Champion risk training across all levels of the business-from front-line to executive Promote a culture of continuous improvement in Health & Safety, supporting our Safer Every Day commitment Extensive experience in risk management disciplines, ideally within a regulated or complex environment Proven ability to influence at senior levels and work across matrixed organisations Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Commercially focused with the ability to turn data into actionable insight Logical thinker with the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity Experience in the water or utilities sector and/or a recognised risk qualification (e.g. IRM) is desirable Ability to network externally in the risk arena As a valued employee, you'll be entitled to: Double Matched Pension Scheme matches your contributions up to 6% - (up to 18% Combined) Car Allowance 26 Days Annual Leave Personal private health care Annual bonus scheme Opportunity to volunteer and do unpaid work in the community Life Cover at 8x your salary Personal Accident cover - up to 5x your salary Flexible benefits to support your wellbeing and lifestyle Free parking at all offices, sites, and leisure parksWe're a purpose-led organisation committed to sustainability, innovation, and delivering long-term value for our customers and communities.
