The Radiology Directorate offers a full range of modern specialty imaging services across two sites, including Ellesmere Port Hospital. Our newly opened Community Diagnostic Hub (CDH) houses CT, MRI, Ultrasound, DEXA and Plain Film departments, enabling comprehensive diagnostic services. We also continue to expand our Interventional Radiology department with new suites and day ward, and operate a brand new Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC). The Countess of Chester Hospital serves as the Regional Vascular Centre and Trauma Unit.
Main duties of the roleProvide high quality general radiography services with at least two years of post qualification experience. Participate in staff and student training, contributing to skill development within the team. Operate and maintain a variety of specialist imaging equipment safely and adaptively. Maintain a CPD portfolio and provide documented evidence of ongoing self development.
Qualifications- BSc in Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers
- Registration with the HCPC
- Recognised cannulation qualification
- Adaptable, competent and safe operation of specialist radiographic equipment.
- Post registration experience in a specialist area of radiography.
- Motivated to learn new techniques beyond current scope of practice.
- Experience in influencing service development and participating in change initiatives.
- Supervisory experience.
- IM & T experience.
