We are currently recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to support the delivery of a major scheme at a wastewater treatment works in Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
- Lead and manage multiple gangs and support the development of junior members of the site team.
- Deliver daily briefings, toolbox talks and site inspections.
- Ensure all operatives are working in accordance with approved RAMS and are using the correct PPE.
- Report and record near misses, accidents and any changes to site conditions.
- Work closely with the wider project delivery team to ensure effective coordination of works.
- Organise and monitor labour, plant, equipment and materials to ensure resources are available when required.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications and site instructions.
- Ensure works are completed to the required specification and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate site records and assist with timesheet submissions.
- Identify and resolve day-to-day site issues in a proactive manner.
- Previous experience as a General Foreman or similar supervisory role within civil engineering.
- Strong background across areas such as reinforced concrete, drainage, earthworks, general civils, water and highways.
- Experience working within the water sector would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
- A confident communicator with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple gangs and work effectively as part of a wider project team.
- £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience.
- car allowance or company vehicle.
- Pension contributions up to 6%
- Annual profit share bonus following 12 months' service.
