Senior front-end developer

We are a Dutch recruitment agency based in Netherlands and we are preferred suppliers to big organizations based in the Netherlands.

For one of our giant client based in Amsterdam we are looking for a Senior front end developer with experience in ReactJS.

36- 40 hours

2 - 3 year project

Hybrid (1-2 days per week onsite)

The project:

You are working on an application, which should provide quick insight into the feasibility of the logistic puzzles on the marshalling and staging yards (the Knoop) within the logistic planning column. We want to create this so-called junction plan as late as possible. The application offers support to gain insight into the feasibility of the junction puzzle in the phase preceding this junction planning and to gain clarity about the capacity of shunting drivers we will need for the junction plan. Without this insight, we are not able to create a junction plan shortly before implementation and as NS we are less agile in responding to the needs of the customer. You are part of the agile development team and you regularly interact with end users. You help develop GUIs and visualisations that enable analysts to assess their analyses.

Responsibilities:

• Translating use cases, user stories and non-functional requirements into a ReactJS frontend that interacts with a REST backend.
• Developing interactive data visualizations and overviews
• Solving problems, further developing and continuously improving the software. You do this in close collaboration with your DevOps team.
• Monitoring and improving software quality through test automation and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Performing reviews on software and specifications.

Skillset:

• An HBO/WO diploma in - preferably - a science direction, for example computer science, software engineering, mathematics, econometrics or artificial intelligence
• You keep your knowledge of front-end technology up-to-date. Explain the cover page;
• Minimum 4 years of experience with ReactJS
• Knowledge and experience with Python is an advantage
• UX knowledge is a plus
• Experience in planning domain is a plus
• You have experience with multi-user systems, creating user interfaces and automated testing
• You have an Agile and DevOps mindset
• Excellent communication skills and command of the Dutch language (oral/written)

Interview process:

• One technical interview (60 min Teams chat) and one softs skills (20 mins)
