Key leadership role within the Customers Finance team. 
Trusted Finance Business Partner to the Wholesale Market Services function.
Client DetailsA core business line within the energy group's UK Customers Business, focused on helping Britain achieve Net Zero. It provides industry-leading wholesale market services to the energy group's supply and generation units, as well as third-party energy asset owners. The team operates across diverse market segments including residential & business supply, nuclear, renewable & thermal generation, and storage & flexible energy.
Description- Drive financial performance by partnering with the Wholesale Market Services business to maximize Gross Margin and manage Operating Expenditure.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, delivering expert analysis, insightful reporting, and robust financial challenge to support strategic decision-making and EBITDA growth.
- Ensure accuracy of monthly forecasts, actuals, and balance sheet transactions for Gross Margin and Opex, fostering a culture of continuous improvement using technologies like Robotics and AI.
- Develop the annual four-year medium-term plan, build relationships with senior leaders, and act as a trusted advisor to the WMS Director and Senior Leadership Team. Operate autonomously, influencing and challenging at a senior level to shape strategy and success.
- Proven experience leading a high-performing Finance Business Partnering team.
- Ability to interpret financial impacts of complex industry changes.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Qualified accountant.
- Extensive exposure to the power generation/energy industry.
- Flexible location, with travel to London (Victoria) required.
