Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Finance FP&A Analyst to be a key member supporting EMEA Commercial Sales.
This role requires a financial modeling background, advanced Excel abilities, problem solving skills, keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast paced environment with ambiguous situations, and project management skills. It involves regular interaction with various business units and strong interpersonal skills.
Amazon believes in the importance of in person collaboration and generally expects employees to work from the offices five days a week.
Key Responsibilities- Build financial models for new business concepts
- Drive short and long term financial planning
- Partner with the business team to implement new processes (controllership) and drive the improvement of existing processes
- Present financial summary and business insights to senior management, helping partners understand growth areas and engagement opportunities
- Tighten internal controls for program spending investments
- Bachelor's degree, or MBA
- Experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpreting data results, or delivering accurate financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses, or building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision making
- Experience using complex modeling and analysis to inform key business decisions
- Experience in commercial finance business partnering or FP&A at a multinational organisation
- MBA or CPA
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience working with large scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
