Senior Export Coordinator

Location: Hull
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000, dependent on experience
Work Arrangement: On site

A successful manufacturing business in Hull is looking to appoint a Senior Export Coordinator, offering a salary of £28,000 to £30,000 and full time hours, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00. This position plays a key role in coordinating UK and international orders, managing export documentation and ensuring a high quality customer experience. It offers variety, ownership and the opportunity to work closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers across the world.

The Role

You will act as the central link between sales, production, logistics and customers, ensuring everything runs smoothly from order to delivery.

Order Management
  • Processing UK and international orders accurately and efficiently
  • Reviewing specifications, pricing and required documentation
  • Preparing compliant export paperwork, including invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin
  • Processing purchase orders from suppliers
Production Coordination
  • Monitoring customer demand and internal lead times
  • Communicating production updates to customers
  • Escalating delays and supporting timely resolution
Shipments and Logistics
  • Liaising with shipping carriers and freight forwarders
  • Tracking shipments and resolving delays
  • Preparing customs documentation and ensuring compliance with import and export regulations
Customer Communication
  • Acting as a key point of contact for customer queries and updates
  • Providing proactive communication regarding order status
  • Handling feedback and resolving issues in a professional manner
Sales and Office Support
  • Preparing quotes, proposals and sales documentation
  • Supporting office operations, including greeting visitors and handling calls
About You
  • At least 2 to 3 years' experience in sales administration or customer service within a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Exposure to export processes or international orders would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to understand customer requirements
  • A proactive, adaptable and solutions focused approach
  • Confidence communicating across departments, including production and logistics
  • A resilient mindset with the ability to manage changing priorities
