Job Description

6 MONTH CONTRACT - INSIDE IR35 - INVESTMENT BANKING

Key Responsibilities of role

* Responsibility for all allocated projects from conception to completion including pre-budget breakdowns and approvals, logistics, project management, website creation and invitation management, event liaison, post-event analysis and accounting.

* To manage budgets to ensure costs are negotiated and consolidated on each allocated project to ensure best value for the bank. Manage pre-event approval and post event recharging in a timely manner.

* To ensure timely and effective delivery of events within agreed budgets.

* Content & Thought Leadership: To support the business in delivery of conference content on macro and geo-political themes. Ensure well-balanced, high quality programs are delivered to engage and be impactful to our clients.

* Follow BNP Paribas policies & procedures whilst implementing projects.

* Manage multiple flagship projects simultaneously and be able to prioritise between various tasks depending on deadlines.

* Management of all branding at events to ensure it is within guideline.

* Manage relationship & strategy for specific area of event or project eg Hedge Fund Summit/HYLF/Financial Institution Forums/Sponsorship Events/IMF

* Lead or senior co-ordination role in flagship events eg Global Markets Conference/HYLF/IMF Classification: Internal Contributions:

* Maintain and review for efficiencies critical events tools such as, but not limited to:

* CRM Lite

* Eventogy Event Management System

* Post-events analysis reports

* Suppliers qualitative directory (directory + qualitative comments + audit track) and Health & Safety database

* Opening share tools and procedures with other BNP Paribas events professionals

* Close collaboration with Strategic Marketing team members for the organisation and definition of content at events

* Contribute to internal communication initiatives

* Presence at recruitment, training and team motivation initiatives

* Build strong working relationships with internal clients and key supplier contacts and other members of the events teams both within BPSS, Coverage, CIB and other metiers.

* Raise the profile of the events team within the business line and across the bank as a whole.

* Promote greater cross business line/metiers/regional collaboration on events Mentoring & upskilling junior and experienced event managers eg - ROI analytics

* Running project teams on large events

* Run ad hoc training sessions & share best practise with other teams eg. Event tools

Experience, Qualifications & Competencies

EXPERIENCE

* Essential: Extensive knowledge of events management best practice and tools
* Essential: Extensive and comprehensive experience in event management in the banking and/or investment sector, preferably in a leading financial institution.
* Essential: Demonstrated ability to lead project teams

* Strong event management skills

* Knowledge of the businesses and the key stakeholders

* Extensive and comprehensive experience in event management in the banking and/or investment sector, preferably in a leading financial institution.

* Deep understanding of the role of event management in the broader communications context

* Extensive knowledge of events management best practice and tools. Advanced skills in Excel, Word and intermediate skills in PowerPoint

* Languages preferred but not essential in particular French PERSONAL QUALITIES:
