Job Title: Senior Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Senior or Lead Estimator to join our client's preconstruction team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in civils, groundworks, and concrete structures to step into a leadership role and take ownership of major tenders.

Job Duties

• Leading the preparation and submission of accurate cost estimates for demolition and construction works.
• Collaborating with the bid and planning teams to develop methodologies and win strategies.
• Coaching and mentoring junior estimators within the team.
• Preparing comprehensive tender submissions, including clarifications and exclusions.
• Presenting estimates during internal adjudications and supporting negotiations as required.
• Overseeing smooth handover to operational teams at the contract award stage.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience in estimating or preconstruction roles, ideally with a civils or commercial background.
• Strong understanding of groundworks, concrete structures, and demolition methods.
• Proven ability to manage complex tenders up to £50m in value.
• Proficient in estimating software, Excel, and Bluebeam.
• Able to manage multiple tenders to tight deadlines.
• Experience working in Central London is preferred but not essential.
