We are seeking an experienced SeniorEnvironmental Design Engineer to provide technical expertise in environmentalassessment, regulatory compliance, sustainability, waste and water management,and environmental permitting. The successful candidate will support a range ofengineering and infrastructure projects while ensuring environmental bestpractices and compliance requirements are met.

WhatYou'll Do

• Wastewater System Design
  Lead the design and specification ofcommercial wastewater treatment systems, including SBR, MBBR, DAF, and tertiarytreatment technologies.
• Process Optimisation
  Improve system performance, efficiency, andreliability through data driven analysis and continuous improvement.
• Regulatory Compliance
  Ensure all systems meet EPA, Irish Water,and local authority requirements, including discharge licensing and monitoringobligations.
• Project Management
  Oversee end to end project delivery fromconcept design to commissioning, coordinating with engineering, construction,and client teams
• Technical Reporting
  Prepare design documentation, risk assessments,compliance reports, and operational guidance.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  Provide technical support to commercialclients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
• Site Assessments
  Conduct site inspections, sampling, andperformance evaluations of existing treatment systems.
• Environmental Risk Management
  Identify environmental risks and developmitigation strategies for commercial operations

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Engineering or relateddiscipline.
• Minimum 7+ years' demonstrable experience in D&B of commercial or industrial wastewater treatment systems.
• Strong knowledge of Irish EPA regulations,discharge licensing,effluent standards,and EU water directives.
• Proven experience with biological treatmentprocesses,nutrient removal,sludge management,and effluent quality control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineeringprojects.
• Proficiency with modelling and design tools.
• Excellent communication.
