- Build deep understanding of all manufacturing equipment, production processes and testing technologies, enabling fast problem resolution and empowering colleagues across Engineering and Maintenance.
- Ensure full alignment with company policies, actively drive compliance, and foster a safety first mindset across all engineering, maintenance and contractor activities.
- Connect Engineering and Maintenance functions in core team meetings, ensure transparent communication, and drive timely completion of actions that shape plant performance.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that positively influence key performance indicators such as production attainment, efficiency, quality and scrap reduction.
- Mentor and develop Engineering and Maintenance colleagues, creating an inclusive, respectful and high performing team culture where every individual can reach their full potential.
- Analyse technical challenges, introduce forward looking solutions that strengthen equipment reliability and support long term site strategy across both Belper and Derby.
- Hold a degree in Electro Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and bring IOSH Working Safely certification.
- Proven senior level experience in both project and maintenance functions, ideally across multiple manufacturing industries.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes, able to translate technical excellence into practical solutions for diverse teams.
- Experience with critical utilities such as compressed gas systems or wastewater treatment facilities adds value.
- Proactive communicator, hands on leader, inspiring collaboration, trust and accountability across departments.
- Strong analytical capability, evaluating complex engineering and maintenance challenges and translating data driven insights into sustainable improvements that enhance equipment reliability and overall plant performance.
