An established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer / Site Agent to join its project delivery team in the North East region. Working across a range of infrastructure and civil engineering schemes, the successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating site activities, managing engineering requirements, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

The Role:

• Manage and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with programme requirements.
• Oversee site engineering activities including setting out, quality control, and technical compliance.
• Plan upcoming works, coordinate labour and plant requirements, and assist with short-term programming.
• Prepare and manage technical documentation, including RFIs, site records, and progress updates.
• Liaise with project management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure materials and resources are available when required.

The Person:

• Previous experience within a Senior Engineer, Site Engineer, or Site Agent position on civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, site operations, and project sequencing.
• Experience coordinating material orders, workforce requirements, and site resources.
• Comfortable working in a hands on capacity with direct involvement in project delivery.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to solve problems proactively on site.
