Senior Engineer

Vulcain Engineering Belgium is looking for a Senior Engineer to join its consulting team.

As a consultant, you will support our clients in the Defence for our brand Infogene (Group expertise in Digitalization, Industrial IT, and Cybersecurity).

About the Role

• Provide technical support for acquisition projects, including specifications, evaluations, implementation, and testing.
• Contribute to scientific and technical programs in mobile infrastructure, satellite communications (SATCOM), and wireless technologies.
• Participate in technical studies, prototyping, trials, demonstrations, and operational exercises.
• Prepare and deliver technical briefings, reports, and publications.
• Maintain solution architecture documentation.
• Support meetings and visits with military, civilian, and industry representatives.
• Act as a subject matter expert in mobile and deployable communications systems.
• Plan and design systems using modern infrastructure technologies (e.g., virtualization, software-defined networking).
• Deputize for senior staff when needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Fluency in English is mandatory
• Expertise in deployable and mobile communication systems.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and commercial/industrial standards.
• Knowledge of modern infrastructure technologies and COTS products.
• Experience with Systems Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Understanding of project management methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
