Job Title: Senior Engineer - Platform Monitoring and Controls

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
Support to engineers at supplier sites and regular, direct engagement with T26 counterparts to obtain and share best practice
Effective management of change incoming from the HCF program and alignment to latest T26 changes
Supporting the wider Platform Monitoring & Control team to ensure visibility of data and ensuring escalation of any issues
Working with stakeholders across the platform to capture, track and plan incoming changes and maintain regular alignment in change impact assessments with the supplier
Support to PM&C engineers in Australia in resolving change queries with UK counterparts and the supplier, and representation of PM&C in change forums such as the Joint Change Control Board with the supplier
Supporting management of baselines, processing of concessions from the supplier, facilitating Technical Queries from the supplier and ensuring data quality is maintained across the team
Your skills and experiences:
Knowledge of systems engineering processes in large, complex defence programs
Good working experience in multi-disciplinary teams and application of systems engineering thinking
Good working experience in at least one phase of Life Cycle Management, with some understanding of adjacent phases and through life engineering issues
Understanding of the need to capture and maintain change data and the engineering change process, particularly using Windchill to manage changes to the product
Familiarity with the GCS change management process and Sempre toolset
Some knowledge of other Platform Systems (e.g. Auxiliaries, HVAC, Electrical, Power and Propulsion) and Combat Systems
Knowledge of configuration management, concessions/variances
Prior use of HCF project toolsets (e.g. DOORS, System Architect, Windchill, JIRA, Visio)

HCF Platform Monitoring and Control (PM&C) UK Team:
Successful delivery of the Platform Management System (PMS) is one of the key activities on the HCF program critical path which needs to be achieved in order to deliver the ship on schedule for the customer. This role is vital to ensuring that the delivery team and the suppliers deliver a product that, once fully integrated, incorporates all required changes to the platform. The role is crucial in managing the design dependency with the T26 Reference Ship Design and ensuring effective embodiment of HCF change into the HCF design by the supplier.
