Job Description

I'm working with a global leader in electronics design and manufacturing, renowned for delivering high-performance, reliable and innovative solutions to customers across a wide range of industries including automotive, aerospace, industrial automation, and consumer electronics. With cutting-edge facilities in Manchester and a collaborative, forward-thinking culture, they are seeking a talented Senior Electronics Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of complex electronic systems and products from concept through to production. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, mechanical and manufacturing engineers to bring innovative ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of analogue and digital electronic circuits for new and existing products.
  • Take projects from initial concept and requirements definition through design validation, testing and production handover.
  • Perform schematic capture, PCB layout reviews and design verification.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with global engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet performance, cost and reliability targets.
  • Support product life-cycle activities including failure analysis, design improvements and technical documentation.
About You
  • Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in electronic design, ideally within a manufacturing or product development environment.
  • Strong knowledge of analogue/digital circuit design, microcontrollers and power electronics.
  • Proficient in schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g. Altium, OrCAD, KiCad).
  • Experience with design for EMC, manufacturability and reliability.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and project management skills.
  • A proactive team player who enjoys technical challenges and innovation.
