Senior Electrical Engineer

Rivan Industries () is a synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise heavy industry. We've developed a unique power-to-fuel machine built for low-capex deployment powered entirely by utility-scale solar. We already have individual operating modules of our machine, we're funded, and we're now building out the team to bring the vision together and deploy at scale.

We aim to make synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels and sustain life on earth by keeping the CO2 locked underground. We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our current Electrical Engineer to scale our system circuitry and safety. The role:

• DC solar to DC load coupling with limited middleware or controls.
• Phase out mains power requirement for 1MW system:
  • Distributed fire / safety / controls panel integration.
• Safety certification process for solar plant.
• Design, manage construction and certify plant machinery:
  • Procurement & cost optimisation of panel.
  • Micro-factory electrical design.

Core skills:

• 5+ years professional experience.
• Bachelor's or Masters in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Panel experience from design > certification > deployment in large industrial setting.
• Machinery Directive UKCA / CE Process.
• ISO9001 cert process.
• Software safety IEC 61508.

Specifics:

• £70-80K Salary depending on experience.
• Significant share options as part of the early team.
• In-person work at our HQ in Bermondsey, South-East London.
