Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Summary:

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will support a variety of projects in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical device industries.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Electrical Design of projects from concept stages through to handover.
• Will be involved in the preparation of cost estimates.
• Carry out site surveys, when required.
• Manage scope, budget and timelines to meet client expectations.
• Help develop a strong safety culture within the company, proactively drive towards continuous improvement and achieving best in class standards.
• Conduct peer reviews and check other engineers work where necessary.
• Assist with the preparation of projects schedules and monitor progress, ensuring critical path is maintained.
• Interface & coordination with other disciplines, project managers and project engineers across all projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• 7+ years' post graduate experience in project delivery, ideally in a medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Demonstratable technical knowledge of:
• MV and LV power distribution
• UPS Systems
• Standby Generators
• Cable Containment
• Lighting & Emergency Lighting
• Fire Alarm
• Security
• Earthing & Bonding
• Gas Detection
• Data/ICT
• BMS/EMS
• Working knowledge of Electrical regulations including IS10101, IS3218, IS3217 etc.
• Strong working knowledge of cable calculation and discrimination studies utilizing Amtech or similar.
• Project planning, design, cost control.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, contractors and vendors.
• Excellent communication skills.
