The Senior Ecommerce Manager is responsible for regional revenue and profitability performance, leading the implementation of the growth strategy across multiple digital channels. The responsibility for the planning and delivery of ecommerce revenue, GP and KPI targets rests with the Senior Ecommerce Manager, supported by the Digital Director, who will rely on their ability to assess the market, be reactive to competitors and drive marketing, trading and activation plans. This role is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who can bring fresh and innovative thinking and is seeking the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record operating in a fast-paced, profitable online retail environment. It requires strategic thinking with strong leadership capabilities and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the customer experience and maximise revenue.
As a Senior Ecommerce Manager, you'll:
- Strategic Planning: Work with the Digital Director to develop and implement the overall e-commerce strategy to achieve business objectives and increase online market share. Utilise market research to identify trends, competitive landscape and customer needs. Support the identification and prioritisation of innovative growth opportunities that align with business goals.
- Website & App Management: Oversee end-to-end site execution, from campaigns and assets through to site health checks. Lead and implement territory strategy and trading calendar while collaborating with marketing teams on supervising junior team execution.
- Sales Performance: Own the planning and delivery of regional budgets through campaign activations to ensure KPIs are achieved. Identify new and innovative ways to drive traffic to the site and improve traffic from existing channels to support current and future strategy.
- Cross-Function Collaboration: Work with marketing channel leads to identify growth opportunities across new and existing customer bases, improve brand reputation and presence, drive new customer acquisition while managing Cost of Sale. Collaborate with CRO and Tech teams to ensure smooth implementation of new initiatives and customer-facing upgrades.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Ecommerce Managers and Executives, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Support team development through effective knowledge sharing.
- Data & Analytics: Utilise analytics tools to monitor territory performance, customer behaviour, and marketing effectiveness. Promote tool usage across the team. Use advanced analytics to extract actionable insights that inform digital execution and CRO strategies. Work with the data team to develop dashboards and tools for tracking KPIs and CRO performance. Identify trends and opportunities to enhance site performance and customer satisfaction globally.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on key metrics and projects, and present findings to senior management.
- Customer Focus: Review customer journeys and monitor conversion funnels to achieve the most frictionless journey for customers. Review UX and provide recommendations for adjustments across web and app platforms, keeping awareness of wider digital tech and retail advances.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
- Commercially astute, ambitious and driven.
- Experience of building budgets, trading calendars, sales forecasts and marketing KPIs, considering impact on and delivery of EBITDA and the P&L.
- Efficient time management, problem solving and scalable solution design.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
- Strong communication skills; experience in leading and developing a junior team whilst influencing senior stakeholders.
- Growth mindset and ability to think outside the box in a growing region and agile environment with key decision-making responsibility.
