Senior Early Years Practitioner Level 3

Location: Les Enfants Private Nursery, Darwen

Reporting to: Area Lead / Nursery Manager

Qualification Required: Full and relevant Level 3 in Early Years

What Makes This Role Different?

As a Senior Practitioner, you will:

  • Model outstanding practice in the room every day
  • Lead by example, demonstrating high quality interactions and purposeful provision
  • Support and mentor other practitioners, particularly apprentices and newer staff
  • Help embed our curriculum and company ethos consistently across the setting
  • Take responsibility for maintaining high standards of learning environments
  • Contribute to planning, assessment and next steps at a deeper, more analytical level
  • Work closely with the Manager and Area Lead to drive quality improvement

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver inspiring, engaging learning experiences aligned with the EYFS
  • Ensure high quality teaching and learning across your room
  • Monitor children's progress and support staff in identifying next steps
  • Promote inclusive practice and strong partnership with parents
  • Champion outdoor learning and Forest School principles
  • Support room organisation, routines and daily leadership
  • Contribute to reflective practice and continuous improvement
