Job Description

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team who providehighly valued tools and best practices for diverse groups of colleagues; effectively empowering the value stream teams. Our team provides a shared service serving all R&D activities, starting with software development and testing, data science and cloud engineering to include IoT and all the platforms and tools used by our electronics, mechanical and chemistry R&D colleagues. This role will build value in our existing platforms enabling the design and implementation of new services as well as supporting the value stream teams in their work day to day. That could include CI/CD pipelines including builds and testing - particularly automated testing - as well as issue tracking, source code management, binary artifact management, observability, and business continuity measures.

It's an agile environment here at Domino: we've adopted Kanban, and most other teams use Scrum. For context, some of the technology we're currently using is listed below:

  • CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
  • Cloud Infrastructure (Azure)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Packer)
  • Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • DVCS (GitHub, GitLab)
  • Issue Tracking (Jira Cloud)
  • Wiki (Confluence Cloud)
  • Binary Artifact Management (Artifactory)
  • User Management (Microsoft Entra, Atlassian Guard)
About you
We're looking for an individual with in-depth experience of software development & testing and/or IT operations in a similar role. While the technology we are currently using is listed above, experience in an equivalent is also applicable (for example, AWS instead of Azure). Beyond your technical skills, you'll play an essential role in guiding others and fostering collaboration therefore we'll be looking for candidates who can draw upon their experience of supporting and guiding teams and individuals to exchange expertise and ideas, establishing a shared approach and thinking flexibly to break down blockers.
This could be an opportunity for someone who's looking for a visible role within a challenging, global and multifunctional organisation, where you can build upon your existing strengths to gain influence at all levels.

What you can expect
As a talented individual working at Domino, you can expect a competitive salary and a generous benefits package, including:
  • 25 days of basic holiday, plus options to buy or sell additional days, ensuring you have ample time to relax and recharge.
  • A discretionary bonus scheme, a testament to your hard work and dedication.
  • Life insurance, providing security and peace of mind for you and your loved ones.
  • Medical insurance with the option of purchasing a health cash plan, dental insurance, travel insurance and cycle to work scheme, ensuring your health is always a top priority.
  • Join our green car scheme, a step towards a more environmentally friendly commute.
  • Pension plan, starting with 8% employer contributions.
We recognise that flexible homeworking can be beneficial and at Domino we want people to feel able to own the way they work. In our team, we agree to come into the office at Bar Hill every Tuesday and on other days occasionally as required.

We are a highly successful company, we're large enough to offer career development opportunities yet small enough for your contribution to be readily recognised and rewarded.
