Overview:
Verto People is recruiting two Senior Designers for a well-established architecture practice based in Manhattan. The studio is known for delivering thoughtful, impactful architecture across cultural, civic, educational and institutional sectors. Their work includes museums, performing arts centres, university buildings, libraries, government buildings and masterplans. The ideal candidate will have 10 to 15 years' experience and be confident leading the design process, managing Revit production and presenting directly to clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead early-stage design and concept development for large-scale, design-led architecture projects
Take responsibility for design progression across all phases, working closely with project leads and directors
Liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams throughout the design process
Produce and oversee high-quality drawings, diagrams and presentation material
Manage and develop Revit models, ensuring alignment with project standards and team workflows
Contribute to studio culture by mentoring junior staff and supporting best practices in design delivery
Represent the design team during client presentations, stakeholder meetings and internal reviews
Required Experience:
10 to 15 years of experience working in a design-focused architecture firm
Strong design portfolio showing experience across cultural, civic, or institutional buildings
Advanced Revit skills and experience using Revit on large, complex projects from early design through to documentation
Comfortable leading meetings and presenting work directly to clients
Strong visual communication and graphic presentation skills
Degree in Architecture (BArch or MArch) from an accredited program
Solid understanding of technical detailing, building codes and NYC regulatory processes
Desirable Skills:
Experience working on projects in the public realm, including university, cultural or government buildings
Working knowledge of Rhino, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite
Familiarity with sustainable design principles and integration of environmental strategies
Previous experience in a US-based architecture firm with a strong design reputation
