TheOpportunityAre you an experienced Senior Design Manager with an electrical engineering background? Do you thrive on leading design for technically complex, high-value infrastructure projects? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
We're expanding our team to deliver a major substation project, supporting the Great Grid Upgrade programme. Based from King'2s Cross during early design development, you'll then transition to site in Elstree, Hertfordshire, leading design integration through delivery.

What you'll be doingLeading the design management process across the project lifecycle - from pre-construction to handover.
Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring alignment to client and regulatory requirements.
Driving design assurance, compliance, and optimisation on a complex electrical substation project.
Building strong relationships with stakeholders, influencing decisions and facilitating change.
Supporting site delivery by managing technical queries, risk, and quality assurance.
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (Chartered or working towards).
10+ years' experience in design management, with proven expertise in substation or major power/infrastructure projects.
Strong track record of leading multidisciplinary design teams on complex projects.
Knowledge of statutory compliance, risk management, and governance in design.
A collaborative leader, able to inspire teams, manage change, and navigate complex client environments.
