We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Senior Delivery Manager to join our team and drive successful delivery of our legal tech solutions. You will lead delivery initiatives, mentor other delivery managers, and guide the execution strategy across our product suite. You will collaborate with Product Managers, engineers and stakeholders to navigate complex project environments and deliver outcomes for users and customers. This role focuses on AI-driven workflows and ensuring solutions are accessible and valuable for our customers.
As a Senior Delivery Manager, your mission is to lead successful delivery in a complex environment, ensure high quality, and manage risks effectively. You will embody servant leadership, foster collaboration, coach stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement of team processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers and customers to ensure a seamless delivery process aligned with product and company goals and user needs.
Facilitate discussions about backlogs, scope and priorities; support product managers in day-to-day activities that deliver against a roadmap.
Inspire trust with senior stakeholders and guide the team to continuous improvement.
Define the delivery approach (e.g. Kanban, Scrum, Waterfall) and mentor engineers and stakeholders; adapt approaches as appropriate for different situations.
Be accountable for accurate and timely delivery of projects and report status and progress to leadership.
Contribute to organisational growth and community: Participate in communities of practice and help other teams organise their projects to achieve their goals.
Support recruitment activities and grow Definely's impact by maintaining a professional network and contributing to thought leadership, content and events.
Mentor and coach team members: Accelerate growth of delivery teams through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Ensure regular constructive feedback for all individuals on projects you are accountable for.
Encourage and mentor high-performing team members and support their growth.
Foster Team Ownership and Health - Motivate and empower delivery teams to take ownership, monitor team health using frameworks like the Spotify Health Check, and implement improvements to build high-performing teams.
Extensive delivery management experience: 5+ years delivering projects in complex environments, including large programmes with multiple delivery teams or several smaller ones. Agile expert with pragmatic flexibility for other approaches.
Deep understanding of project management and agile methodologies: Accountable for delivery success (scope, budget, quality). Knowledge of Kanban, Scrum, XP, Design Sprints and related tools.
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills: Thrive in cross-functional teams, build trust with senior stakeholders, and communicate project fundamentals clearly.
Strong problem-solving and risk management: Identify and manage risks, remove blockers, and keep teams moving forward.
Delivery optimisation and forecasting: Use estimation techniques to provide accurate forecasts and improve delivery times and resource efficiency.
Proven experience building relationships: Build relationships within the team and across the business to align ways of working and delivery expectations.
Continuous improvement and growth mindset: Proactive, self-starter; provide and receive constructive feedback to help others develop.
Experience using AI tools: Interest and experience in applying AI/GenAI tools to improve processes; experience with AI/ML projects is a plus.
