Senior Data Governance Analyst

Location: London, UK (Hybrid - 3 days in office)

We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to support the implementation and adoption of an enterprise-wide Data Governance Framework within a global organisation. This is a hands-on role working closely with Data Stewards, technology teams and senior stakeholders to improve data quality, accessibility and value.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Data Stewards to understand data needs and chair governance forums
• Manage and curate metadata within enterprise Data Management Technology (DMT)
• Design and maintain data catalogue content, metadata models, lineage and business processes
• Analyse business processes to identify data management improvements
• Develop user stories, use cases and functional requirements; manage and prioritise backlogs
• Conduct gap analysis and support user acceptance testing
• Create and maintain data governance documentation (business glossary, data dictionary, reference data)
• Deliver training and support adoption of data governance tools and standards
• Define data domains and support data quality standards and monitoring

Skills & Experience

• Degree educated (Bachelor's or Master's)
• Experience in data governance, data analysis or business analysis roles
• Strong understanding of data management and governance best practices
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, complex environment
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
• Knowledge of metadata management tools and standards is desirable
