Senior Data and AI Scientist

I am looking for a senior Data & AI Scientist to join a high-performing Group Data function where you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of Data Science and AI across the organisation.

This is not just a modelling role. I need someone who can identify high-impact opportunities, translate complex business challenges into analytical solutions, and take machine learning and Generative AI use cases all the way from experimentation to production deployment.

You will:

• Lead the design and productionisation of ML and GenAI solutions delivering measurable business value

• Partner with senior stakeholders to prioritise advanced analytics initiatives

• Establish best practices across Data Science and MLOps

• Work closely with Data Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure scalable model deployment

• Provide thought leadership in AI, ML and GenAI innovation

• Mentor and develop Data Scientists to build a high-performing team

To be successful, you will bring:

• Advanced Python skills with production-grade experience

• Strong SQL and experience working with large datasets

• Hands-on cloud experience (Azure, AWS or Snowflake)

• Expertise in machine learning frameworks (eg scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, TensorFlow)

• Strong knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, embeddings and evaluation techniques

• MLOps experience (CI/CD, MLflow, containerisation, monitoring)

• A background in financial services (wealth or asset management preferred)

• The ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of AI-led decision making
