Role Purpose
We are seeking an ambitious senior CRM strategist responsible for developing the overarching CRM strategy for the year, which will guide tactical sales promotion activities. The strategist should be able to adapt creative strategies for CRM channels such as email, SMS, MMS, and recommend innovative approaches to drive leads, loyalty, and retention.
Responsibilities
- Understanding of Marketing Data: Analyze and interpret customer data with the Merkle Data team to identify trends and inform decisions. Apply marketing principles to utilize CRM data effectively for targeted marketing.
- B2B Experience: Essential experience working with B2B clients, preferably in the telco sector.
- Customer Insights: Deep understanding of SOHO (0-9) customer behaviors, preferences, and needs to develop targeted creative strategies across sales and customer lifecycle stages.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to understand customer needs and convey strategies effectively to clients.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities to navigate challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Relationship Building: Experience in a client-facing role, with an understanding of the importance of nurturing relationships, especially as the CRM team addresses previous data and budget challenges.
- Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
- ABM Experience: Experience in developing and executing account-based marketing strategies and activations is advantageous.
What You Bring
- At least 4 years of CRM strategy experience in a top agency, including managing a business segment.
- Proven ability to brief and collaborate with creative teams.
- Experience in building client relationships and confidently presenting ideas.
- Understanding of key marketing theories and their application to strategy.
- Knowledge of current research methods and tools like GWI, YouGov, WARC, and planning templates.
- Understanding of measurement frameworks, KPIs, and success proxies, with the ability to discuss these with clients.
