Job Overview

Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI) is a global semiconductor leader. The Senior Counsel, Employment and Labor will advise the Company on a wide range of EMEA employment law issues, primarily in the EMEA region. The role will join a team of nine attorneys and legal professionals, reporting to the Senior Director, Litigation & Employment in ADI's Legal and Risk Optimization organization. The position will be based in Limerick, Cork, or Dublin, Ireland with regular travel to Limerick required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide practical legal advice on a full range of EMEA employment law issues relating to the entire employee lifecycle, including recruiting, hiring, training, performance management, compensation, leaves of absence, return to work and accommodation issues, benefits, terminations, and other employment related topics.
  • Drive compliance with labor and employment laws, including wage and hour, compensation, benefits, discrimination, harassment, leave and disability accommodation laws, emerging laws such as pay transparency, and other employment related regulations.
  • Lead cross functional teams driving implementation of labor and employment compliance initiatives.
  • Oversee and direct internal investigations.
  • Develop, revise, and implement best in class employment policies, procedures, documentation, and scalable training solutions.
  • Drive complex employment compliance projects from initiation to closure.
  • Drive good business results from difficult employment relations situations by successfully managing ER issues and pre dispute conflicts.
  • Support ADI's compensation and benefits programs.
  • Advise on industrial relations and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Handle litigation and claims, oversee work performed by external counsel, and maintain responsibility for case strategy, budget, execution, and resolution.
  • Work collaboratively and responsively with colleagues on a broad range of legal and strategic projects, ensuring good relationships between legal, human resources, finance, stock administration, IT, operations, information technology/security teams, and corporate development of the Company and its affiliates to facilitate a coordinated team approach.
  • Proactively identify and drive implementation of continuous improvements in policies and processes for the employment and immigration legal team.
  • Other tasks as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Ireland.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in employment law throughout EMEA, preferably a combination of law firm and in house practice.
  • Significant counseling experience, including risk mitigation in the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Self motivated team player with the ability to drive projects, identify and resolve legal and business issues with a large degree of independence, seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Exceptional project management skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • High degree of initiative in managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast paced, deadline driven work environment.
  • Ability to establish and develop relationships of trust and confidence; strong influencing and collaborating skills.
  • High performance standards, impeccable integrity, excellent judgment, well honed analytical skills, good sense of humor, positive attitude, and flexibility.
  • Practical, business oriented approach.
  • Able to analyze complex situations and develop simple, concise, and effective legal solutions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally, both in written and verbal formats.
  • Demonstrates flexibility regarding assignments for self and team.
  • Able to travel, as needed up to 10%.
  • Proficient in the use of AI tools.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working with a multi national company.
  • Prior experience working in a corporate legal department.
  • Prior experience using the Legal Tracker System or a comparable e billing system.
