Location: Crawley (West Sussex), Belfast (Northern Ireland), or Templecombe (Somerset) - hybrid working arrangement - 3 days a week in the office

We have a great Senior Contracts Manager opportunity to join our Defence Commercial, Legal & Contracts team.

Key responsibilities:
On a day-to-day basis, you'll be involved in:
- Providing advice and recommendations to the business regarding relationship agreements, bids, and projects on commercial issues, risks, liabilities, and opportunities
- Supporting senior management and participating in commercial negotiations with customers, consortium partners, and in conjunction with Procurement, sub-contractors, and other 3rd parties
- Providing bid and project teams advice, recommendations, and costings related to UK and International contracts, including Direct Selling Costs, Credit Insurance, Bank Guarantees, and Letters of Credit
- Responding to and negotiating customer-proposed contractual agreements and Contract Changes, supporting senior management in managing these changes, including preparation, approval, and negotiation
- Identifying and managing issues and disputes with customers in collaboration with the Legal function
About you:
Ideally, you'll:
- Have a commercial background with experience managing contracts/risks and/or a legal background combined with commercial experience
- Have demonstrable experience working within a complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-site organization
- Possess multi-disciplinary qualifications e.g., LLB, Engineering, Finance, Programme Delivery - advantageous
- Be skilled at building and managing relationships across all levels throughout the bidding, negotiation, and delivery phases of bids/projects
- Have proven analytical and written skills with the ability to understand pricing, risks, and mitigation of contracts
