Senior Container Admin

Senior Container Admin (NATO Security Clearance) - €70k - Munich (Fully On-site)

We're seeking an experienced Senior Container Administrator for an extremely long term project in Munich. This role will give you the opportunity to work with cutting edge air gapped container platforms, lead junior colleagues, and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, and maintain an air gapped Rancher container platform and Kubernetes clusters
• Administer and troubleshoot Unix/Linux systems while applying security hardening
• Automate operations using tools such as Ansible
• Design and maintain high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and ensure ongoing compliance through patching
• Produce and maintain clear technical documentation

Required Skills

• C1+ English language skills and eligibility for NATO security clearance
• Hands on experience with Rancher and Kubernetes administration
• Solid Unix/Linux system administration experience (RHEL 8/9 or equivalent)
• Experience with infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform, or similar)
• Understanding of container security and experience in air gapped environments
• Experience with Git, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), and IT ticketing systems

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of ITIL
• Relevant certifications or degrees (e.g., CKA, RHCE)
• Experience with VMware, BMC Helix, or SIEM tools
