ContextSYSTRA Consultancy is hiring! We have an immediate opportunity to join our Passenger Transport team in the Consultancy business at Senior Consultant level. We offer flexible hybrid working, focusing on demanding and innovative projects for our strategic clients, and are open to basing successful candidates at any of our offices in London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, or Leeds. The role involves delivering Bus Team projects across the UK, working closely with the existing team to provide a flexible and responsive approach to client and project demands.
Main Duties- Supporting the technical delivery of bus operations, network planning, and ticketing/information projects.
- Direct liaison with clients to confirm their requirements and ensure needs are met.
- Delivering technical solutions for existing clients, either independently or as part of a team.
- Discussing future requirements with clients to secure new business.
- Enhancing personal skills through continuous development to stay at the forefront of emerging techniques and technologies.
- Supporting other sectors within SYSTRA to deliver public transport elements within wider projects such as transport planning studies, development plans, or business case preparations.
- Project management and proposal management.
- Identifying and communicating client/project objectives effectively.
- Ensuring quality assurance for investment and transaction decisions.
- Preparing and delivering technical reports and presentations.
- A degree in a relevant subject (Transport Planning, Maths, Science, etc.) or a Master's in Transport Planning, or equivalent experience.
- Significant bus operations experience, including network planning and commercial skills.
- Experience delivering ticketing and information projects.
- Experience working directly with clients, including on-site secondments.
- Strong report and proposal writing skills.
- Established relationships with clients in the public and private sectors.
- Flexibility and ability to manage multiple project demands.
