Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Senior Community Staff Nurse to Oban and Lorn Community Nurses. Ideally candidates should have a SPQDN qualification, but consideration will be given to candidates who have extensive community experience and are working towards (or willing to study) for an advanced clinical assessment qualification and V150/V300 prescribing qualification.

The role involves shared responsibility for a clinical caseload, complex case management, palliative and end of life care. The applicant should be familiar with person centred assessment, care planning and evaluation of nursing care for a range of long term conditions, tissue viability challenges, and robust competence in a range of clinical skills. The applicant should have good communication and leadership skills and be able to deputise for the Team lead when required.

You will be working closely with the wider multi disciplinary team with the aim of enabling self management, maximising quality of life, preventing hospital admissions and facilitating timely discharges back home. You should have a good understanding of the MDT roles.

A current NMC registration, and UK driving licence is essential to this role.
