About The Role
Senior Commodity Manager - FMCG (Dried fruit, nuts and seeds, beans, pulses and cereals)
As a Senior Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of dried fruit, nuts and seeds, beans, pulses, and cereals. Your role involves developing sourcing strategies, building supplier relationships, and ensuring the availability of high-quality ingredients to support production. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to company growth while promoting sustainability and ethical sourcing.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing plans to optimize costs, maintain quality, and reduce supply risks. Keep updated on market trends and global commodity developments to inform decisions.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality and sustainability standards. Collaborate with quality assurance, production, and logistics teams to ensure a steady supply of raw materials.
- Risk Management: Identify and address supply chain risks such as market fluctuations and geopolitical issues to ensure supply continuity.
- Cost Optimization: Implement initiatives to reduce costs while maintaining quality, and evaluate supplier performance for continuous improvement.
- Sustainability and Compliance: Lead sustainability efforts within the supply chain, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and certifications. Stay informed about relevant regulations.
- Proven experience (4+ years) in commodity management within FMCG, focusing on dried fruit, nuts, and cereals. CIPS qualification or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Deep understanding of global commodity markets and supply chain dynamics.
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively across teams.
