Senior Commercial Lawyer

Overview

A local authority based in South London is seeking a Senior Commercial Contracts Lawyer for an initial period of three months.

The successful Commercial Contracts Lawyer will be required to attend the office 2 days per week. You will pick up a full and varied caseload from the outset. You will be required to handle complex contract work and deputise for the Principal Lawyer as appropriate.

Responsibilities

The successful Commercial Contracts Lawyer will provide advice and assistance with legal documentation and negotiation with partners or preferred bidders in relation to joint commissioning initiatives with the Health Authority or other local authorities. You will support the Principal Lawyer in advising and drafting contracts and protocols on a wide range of public private partnership arrangements. You will also provide advice on more complex procurement and tender documentation.

Contract details

The successful candidate will be required to start on the 16th of February 2026 and the role is for 6 months initially. This role is for 35 hours per week.
