We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our Crisis Resolution Team. We provide urgent care and support to people in Worcestershire who are experiencing a mental health crisis. We are a dynamic and responsive team that strives to continuously develop and adapt to the needs of patients in Worcestershire, providing compassionate and trauma informed care in the best interests of our patients. The team conducts a variety of work including rapid and comprehensive mental health assessments and bespoke crisis interventions.
Working in the Crisis Resolution Team will bring you variation every shift and provide regular opportunities for CPD and further career progression opportunities are supported. Supervision and reflective practice are prioritised to ensure the wellbeing of staff is optimised. We promote flexible working to support the balance between work and home life.
This is a full time post, but we would be flexible to offering fewer hours for the right candidate. The shift pattern consists of days and waking nights over a 7 day period including bank holidays working three days a week. The team is based in Worcester but travel across the county may be required.

Main duties of the jobWe are responsible for the gatekeeping of the Trust's inpatient beds out of hours and conducting gatekeeping assessments for patients referred for informal admissions by other Trusts.
We are responsible for managing the designated place of safety within Worcestershire and your role would include the management of patients detained there - these can be demanding and challenging patients and you will be responsible for identifying risks and management plans to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

Qualifications- Registered professional with mental health specialist training
- Evidence of CPD
- Required to train to safety intervention level 2
- Required to complete intermediate life support training
- Understand that you will be asked to provide original certificates to verify your qualifications at point of offer
- Teaching/Assessing qualification
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Creative flexible approaches to risk assessment
- A positive attitude and able to act on feedback
- Knowledge of relapse prevention
- A broad understanding of risk assessment
- Knowledge of issues involved in the treatment of mental illness
- Minimum 12 months experience of working in a mental health setting/service as a registered profession
- Assessment and management of clinical risk
- Working within a multi disciplinary team
- Managing complex needs and severe mental illness
- Experience working with severe and enduring mental illness including those with complex emotional needs
- Psychosocial interventions
- Use of clinical assessment measures
