Job Description
Senior Cleaning Assistant - Grade 3 (Part Time, Permanent) 
Total Hours: 12.5 per week (pro rata). Pay: £8,377 - £8,642 per annum (pro rata). Location: Stockwell Primary School, Hull.
Role PurposeProvide cleaning services to a pre determined area, maintaining a clean, tidy, safe and healthy environment, and manage the day to day operations of the cleaning service in partnership with area supervisors.
Principal Accountabilities- Organise labour, order materials and equipment in accordance with procedures and safe working practices.
- Implement corrective actions, report problems or incidents to the Area Supervisor and keep accurate records.
- Deliver induction training for cleaning assistants in line with safety and development policy.
- Manage staff absence and cover to maintain service level agreements (SLA).
- Liaise with and investigate customer complaints, reporting corrective action within the Council's complaints procedure.
- Manage cleaning teams, develop operational practices and ensure standards are met.
- Act as first point of contact for clients and cleaning staff regarding service level agreements.
- Check attendance, organise relief cover where necessary, and supervise staff performance and behaviour.
- Carry out cleaning duties safely and in accordance with work instructions.
- Ensure personal health and safety responsibilities in line with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and council policies.
- Competitive salary (pro rata) of £8,377 - £8,642.
