Senior Civil Engineer - Contract Highways & Infrastructure Design
Guildford (Hybrid Working)

An established engineering design consultancy is seeking an experienced Contract Senior Civil Engineer to support the delivery of highways and infrastructure design across a diverse portfolio of projects.

The role is based from the Guildford office with a hybrid working arrangement, offering flexibility while remaining closely integrated with the design team. Projects span residential, commercial, solar and wider energy developments, providing a varied and technically engaging workload.

The Role

• Lead and deliver highways and infrastructure design works across multiple sectors
• Take responsibility for S278 highway design, including technical approvals and coordination
• Produce and review detailed designs, drawings and calculations using Civil 3D
• Manage schemes from feasibility through to detailed design and delivery
• Liaise with local authorities, clients and internal project teams
• Provide technical guidance and oversight where required

About You

• Strong UK civil engineering consultancy background
• Proven experience delivering S278 highway designs
• Confident user of Civil 3D for highways and infrastructure projects
• Good understanding of UK design standards and approval processes
• Comfortable working autonomously in a contract environment
• Able to attend the Guildford office on a hybrid basis
