Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our client's growing team in Hertfordshire. This is an opportunity to join a SME design consultancy supporting projects including urban regeneration, transport, energy, waste, industrial, commercial, residential, retail, health, and leisure developments.

They have expertise in infrastructure planning and design, earthworks and 3D ground modelling, pumping stations, sewerage systems, land drainage, flooding, and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).

You will take the lead on project delivery, manage junior engineers, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and ensure all designs and construction activities meet the highest technical and regulatory standards.

• Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in Civil Engineering design consultancy
• Experience in producing pre-planning reports, including Flood Risk Assessments, Foul Drainage & Utility Assessments
• Desirable drainage remedial and modelling experience
• Preparation of detailed design information for Tender and Construction
• Highways design experience - local authority and private residential / commercial (S38 / 184 / 278)
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise emails, letters, and reports
• Professionalism in representing the company at meetings
• Good commercial awareness and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
