We are seeking a skilled Engineer or Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join a consultancy in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Design firm, you will be responsible for designing infrastructure projects, reviewing and project managing projects while mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering and be passionate about learning and developing towards chartership.
Responsibilities- Design infrastructure projects.
- Review and project manage projects to the highest standard.
- Mentor and oversee junior staff.
- Deliver on client expectations and liaise with stakeholders.
- Manage workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree (BSc or BEng) in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure design and project management from a UK consultancy.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, PDS, Microdrainage, Info Drainage PDS and other design tools.
- On route to obtaining IEng or CEng status.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction.
- Excellent report writing skills with some experience of flood risk assessments (FRA).
- Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.

- Ability to take ownership within the team and mentor junior staff.
