2 days on / 4 days off (alternate week pattern)
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and committed Senior Children's Residential Care Worker to join a well established, Ofsted registered children's home in Derby.
This role involves supporting children and young people aged 10-18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and complex needs. As a Senior, you will play a key role in leading shifts, supporting staff, and ensuring the delivery of high quality, consistent care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead shifts and support the wider care team
- Provide high quality care, safeguarding, and emotional support
- Undertake key working responsibilities and support co key workers
- Carry out and review risk assessments and care plans
- Delegate tasks and support staff development
- Manage incidents, conflict resolution, and end of shift debriefs
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Facilitate young people's meetings and daily activities

What We're Looking For- QCF/NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children & Young People (essential)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in residential childcare (essential)
- Experience supporting children with EBD and complex behaviours
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A resilient and proactive approach to supporting young people
