This is an exciting time to join the Cardiology Department at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. We have recently developed the cath lab service to a 5 day/week service, incorporating diagnostic angiography and PCIs, complex CRT device and ICD implants, in addition to an Electrophysiology and ablation service. We are looking to recruit a Senior Chief Card Phys to lead and support the Invasive service, including leading the CRM management team.
Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will lead the Invasive Service and staff, across both sites, ensuring a high quality service is maintained. They will be responsible for quality assurance, recruitment, training, education & development, and the organisation of the Invasive Services. They will also deputise for the Principal Card Phys by providing operational leadership for the non invasive cardiology diagnostic service at the Epsom site - this will involve providing clinical support to junior staff, staff management, rostering, health and safety, procurement and administrative organisation. Experience of Electrophysiology would be an advantage.

This is a full time position and will be based across the 2 sites of Epsom and St Helier hospitals. The suitable candidates should have extensive experience in all areas of technical cardiology, mainly in pacing and devices. They should also have experience in leadership and people management.
Qualifications- BSci in Clinical Physiology - Cardiac or equivalent
- Accreditation in CRM
- Experience in leadership and people management
- Experience in recruitment of staff
- Experience in Electrophysiology
- Experience with procurement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work and lead a team
- Ability for conflict resolution
